This discussion was very important and gave many great tips. Thanks to Mr. Phillips, I have never heard of the type of behaviors to keep in a corporate workplace until he mentioned it. The importance of communication in the workplace is also just as important.

ReplyDeleteI loved Dr.Philips presentation. It was astounding to me to see someone of such credibility with a 4 inch afro mane. It was super encouraging and goes to show that its okay to be yourself in the workplace people will recognize you for your authenticity as long as you demand it.

Class on Friday Nov. 9, was phenomenal. Dr. Phillips shared an informational speech about corporate America that gave multiple insights. Dr.Phillips was organized, and prepared to enlighten the class about his journey in the workplace. I took away a great deal of knowledge, and I am forever grateful to be equipped with such tools.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this presentation because it was very useful advice for being black in the work place. I got great advice about how to maneuver and handle certain situations and confrontations. As well as how to stay focused in a work place and to always stay cautious because it is always a competition.

I loved Dr. Phillips message. I feel as though many people including me are nervous about the upcoming corporate world. I feel like this presentation gives people like me something to look forward to. His message was both informative and helpful.
Loved Dr. Phillips dialogue. Growing up in New York City the job people mostly aim for is to work in wall street. It's so praised to the point they don't know the work it comes with. Dr. Phillip message was an eye opener for corporate america

Dr. Phillip's perspective on Corporate America and his experience were really informative and helpful. I found it great that he emphasized the importance of realizing that you must always be aware of how you present yourself because people are constantly watching. Therefore, be intentional about the image you put out.
